When my sister-in-law got engaged, I couldn’t wait to start planning her engagement session. Her fiancé, Ashby, often spoke about the charm and tranquility of St. Simons Island, a quaint beach town where he spent many vacations. Just hearing him describe its peaceful ambiance made me eager to visit and capture their love story there.

When they decided on St. Simons Island for their engagement photos, I was over the moon! We dove right into planning the perfect locations to shoot, and I was particularly excited about visiting Jekyll Island and Driftwood Beach—both spots that had been on my photography wish list for a long time.

The moment I arrived, I was awestruck by the island’s romantic atmosphere. The towering oaks draped in soft light, the serene marshlands, and the overall dreamy vibe made it feel like I had stepped into a Nicholas Sparks novel. The experience of capturing their love in such a breathtaking setting was nothing short of magical, and I never wanted it to end. Each location added a unique layer to their story, and I was thrilled to document every beautiful moment for them.
